DJ Benni has been involved in event production of all kinds for over a decade. His professional experience includes managing the pro-sound and lighting production team at PSU, freelance work as an audio technician, and a successful DJ career. Benni simply loves events and he understands them well.

Originally from Richland, WA, Benni has lived in Portland since 2010 and considers it home. Music has been a part of his life since learning how to play the guitar as a child, and it will always be a significant part of who he is as a person. He loves genres of all kinds, and some of his favorites are:  Indie, heavy metal, rock, jazz, hip-hop + rap, R&B, EDM + bass music, and pop.

 

When it comes to weddings, he remembers some invaluable advice that he received when he first started catering events as an undergrad at PSU - "this event" might seem like another "work day" for some vendors, but a crucial fact prevents that from being true:  this is often the most important day of 2 peoples lives. This mentality drives the service that he provides. You won't just be hiring a DJ, you'll be collaborating with an individual who celebrates over 9 years of marriage and truly understands what defines the meaning of this commitment.

When he's not working events, Benni has a day job working on the Behavioral Health team at a local CCO supporting the adult system of care for OHP members. He is fully aware of the glaring social determinants of health that impact individuals and their families, and he is passionate about improving healthcare access for everyone. Benni has dedicated his life to helping others achieve what they deserve:  health and happiness. He and his wife, Audrey, love their 2 dogs, snowboard at Mt Hood as often as they can, and enjoy spending time in the beautiful city of Portland.
